Guardian AM provides the processing capabilities for a variety of input options in addition to monitoring the driver’s attentiveness to the task of driving. Driver Fatigue and/or inattentiveness continue to plague the professional driver. The Guardian AM utilizes key inputs to evaluate the driver’s interaction with the vehicle. The speed, braking, steering and cruise control systems are evaluated to assess the driver’s attentiveness and possible onset of fatigue. By alerting the driver of a possible inattentive or fatigued state the driver becomes more aware of possible peril and can take the necessary avoidance actions.
